Gardening refers to any activity that modifies the visibility features of an area of land, including living elements, and natural abiotic elements.
STYLES OF GARDENING
Formal Garden:-Refers to as geometrical style in which one part of the garden is an exact mirror image of the other.
Eg:- Mughal Garden, Persian Garden, Italian Garden, French Garden
Informal Garden:- Imitation of nature and hence the plants and other features are arranged without any hard rules. Characterized by following curves, non symmetrical arrangements of features and plants that are allowed to grow into their natural shapes.
Eg:- English Garden , Japanese Gardens
Artistic/ Free Style Garden:- The combination of both formal and informal styles is referred to as artistic or free style garden.
Wild Garden:- Growing many plants in a scatered manner as in nature. Ornamental trees and shrubs are planted in forest flora and creepers are allowed to grow over trees. this type of garden combines a pleasing blend of beauty and utility with ecological and environmental needs.

• Lawn is beautiful green ground cover with perennial grass
• Also called as a natural green carpet• A lawn is the heart of a garden
• It is the basic feature for home ground development
• In home garden, improves the appearance of the house
• Enhances the beauty
• Increase conveniences
• It adds monetary value to the real estate
